These guys do an outstanding job. I brought my car here for the first time based on the YELP reviews. They were helpful in diagnosing the problem. The car took a bit longer than I was hoping (4 days), and the overall price was a bit shocking. But they gave me a labor discount for being a first time customer, as well as helping me out a little with the cost of the parts. I know the job was a headache, but they were helpful in making sure it was fixed and not costing too much. We'll definitely try to be back again as these guys are honest and helpful.

For years my Civic hatchback's A/C was on the fritz, and the check engine light told me something was amiss.I had to take my baby to someone who'll make it all right,so I flipped through the Yelp lists all day and all night. After much sifting, "THE auto shop" seemed like the place to go,to get that light on my dashboard to cease its glow.It seemed best to make an appointment before you drive,so in my smartphone I punched in 949-450-0305.To my surprise a courteous female voice had greeted me,instead of an automated answering machine asking me to push 1, 2, or 3.I believe Sarah was the lady that helped schedule the service, and from her knowledge about cars you best not be nervous.Upon scheduling a time for my injured baby car,I drove on over to their convenient Irvine location (it wasn't very far). There, I spoke with the helpful staff at the front desk, then I handed in my keys, hoped and prayed for the best.Ah, before I forget I should mention one thing:They have a shuttle service that takes you anywhere in a 10 mile ring! After waiting for a few hours, I received a call,it was an update about my car, y'all! They gave me the scoop about what exactly was wrong, they told me about what needed to be fixed, what it costs, and for how long. The prices were just, reasonable, and fair, considering how their warranty knocks the other places out of the air. After a few days of patiently waiting for my baby, thinking to myself when will they "Call me, maybe?",I receive an update from the shop telling me my car is fixed, and that everything which was broken has been thrown into the abyss. And so I get shuttled back to the shop, feeling anxious, since I finally get to see if my baby is ridden of its anguish.Upon paying for the parts and services (they take MasterCard or Visa),I hop into my chariot, start 'er up and hear it purr like a Cheetah.Lo and behold the check engine light is gone, and the A/C blows ice-cold air, which is what happens when the O2 sensors are replaced, and the A/C compressor is repaired!Well there you have it folks, "THE auto shop" saved the day,and because of that I highly recommend this place,MMKAY?Note: The shop is closed on Sundays, so if you take your car in on Saturdayyou might have to retrieve it on Monday.

I went to these guys again and my experience was great again.Super easy -- they honored my appointment time. Checked me in, and delivered in 1 hour just as they said they would. They also discovered that my struts were leaking -- I've never heard of this! (And, honestly, I was a little bit suspicious of a bogus phantom repair here like I hear about.)My car was under warranty so I took it to the dealer. The dealer guy was baffled and highly skeptical. He said, "some of these independent shops just don't know the product. The struts might just be 'sweating' not leaking. I've never heard of struts leaking. But we'll check it out for you."Sure enough -- 3 hours later, I get a call from the dealer ... tail between his legs ... "well, I've never seen this before, but it does look like your struts and shocks are leaking ..."I got the repair done under warranty thanks to THE auto shop for discovering this and not assuming that the struts were just "sweating" like the dealer did.

Got a nail in my tire and they got the part on the same day and fixed it in less than half an hour. It cost less than the stealership. But most importantly I didn't have to deal with someone from crevier taking my car for a 30 mi joyride before getting it back the next day.So I brought my car in to crevier for my first major service. 2 days later I had a tpm sensor go off. Turns out there was a nail in one of my rear tires. I made the mistake of bringing it into crevier to get a tire replaced. The next day, I get my car back, and this time the other rear tire's tpm sensor went off. Kinda fishy...Each time, I had about 30 mi put onto my vehicle and my settings were all changed. So I yelped THE auto shop and so far so good. They are light years ahead of that shadeball crevier.

THE auto shop employees are amazing! They have genuine and caring customer service. The ladies in the front desk are extremely knowledgable and helpful. The grease monkey's in the back know how to fix anything. I came 3 times with different cars and they fixed everything in a timely manner. I highly recommend THE auto shop.

Came here after checking out another shop that I didn't cafe for and was pleasantly surprised by how courteous and helpful they were on the phone. The office is very welcoming and you can tell their number one priority is customer service. Their warranty is twice as long as others at 2 years or 24k miles. They caught other issues the first shop didn't and performed the original repair in one third the time I was quoted by others. They also used OEM parts so I could get more miles out of the repair. I will go going back and recommending to everyone I know.

This review is long overdue. Some really helpful and nice people. They are pretty upfront with what they feel like you need to change and what can be put off. Felt like I got a good price for the work they did for me. Had a very clean and quaint waiting area that also has WiFi and a charging station for almost all devices. Besides for Sam and the ladies working the reception, the other employees can seem kind of intimidating.

Took my car in for some AC work. I couldn't have been happier. I made an appointment with Sam in the earlier a.m. They where able to accommodate and work around my work schedule. When I came in, I filled out the paperwork and told them what the issue were. Sean, one of the other owners of the shop, came in and gave me options on getting my AC unit fixed. After much discussion, I decide to overhaul my whole AC unit. A little back story, my AC units have been give me issues for years and although we live in CA, we don't really need AC that bad. Well, the week that I took my car in, was one of the hottest weeks of this year. I need to go on a business trip with my car and taking family members around with no cold air would be very uncomfortable. With that said, I want to get this fixed. Well, I'm glad I came here. After signing the paper work and giving them the okay, I was offered a ride to anywhere I wanted. That's service. The next day, the shop called and said that they were almost finish with the work. The ETA that they gave me was around 6pm. that's a day and a half of ripping out the AC unit and replacing everything with top shelf OEM quality equipment. When I arrived at the shop, they said they ran into an issue with my car so it would take a little bit longer. Also, they ended up cracking my clock housing because the whole dash had to be taken out to do the hoses/piping. Of that, Sean said they would replace free of charge. Now, this clock housing is a special order item and for them to replace it because of their negligent, I was impressed. I've never really been to a shop with such honesty and good quality people who cares about their customers instead of making a few bucks more off of them. The workmanship is exceptional and prices are fair. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Details.. .. Oil changes for me & the boyfriend on the weekend. .. Called in the morning & got an appointment for later that afternoon.prOs.. .. The waiting area was extremely clean & accommodating - they have refreshments, comfy chairs, & even provide phone chargers! .. The prices are reasonable - about $50 for the entire thing which included helping me diagnose a check engine light (ended up being my gas cap). .. They are very thorough. We went to grab a bite at the BK while we were waiting & they called to update us on where they were in the process. We were informed of everything before they proceeded. They even provided us quotes on 3 different tiers of tiers when we checked out! .. The girls behind the front are amazingly sweet too.no cOns.. yay!!
